nah, you didn't miss anything so much as there's an event in s&f that i haven't gotten to yet, that explains this.
he'll exaggerate it ridiculously for effect. it's also part of his adopted two-legged persona he uses so people don't necessarily connect "king's lover" with "king's fenwraith." ;)
